Robert Bouland serves as Managing Partner at Hilco Industrial Europe. He joined Hilco Global in 2014 when he started Hilco Industrial Acquisitions, a joint venture between his company Core Business Industries (CBI) and Hilco Industrial in the U.S. He oversees the company’s work in the acquisition and disposition of industrial capital assets ranging from plants and machinery to industrial inventory, office equipment, fixtures and real estate.
Before joining Hilco, Robert founded and ran CBI where he bought and sold many shuttered plants throughout Europe. Earlier, in 2000, after selling his previous business to Dovebid, he assumed the role of President for Dovebid Europe. Prior to owning a number of companies active in Industrial Asset Sales in the Netherlands, UK, Germany, Switzerland and the USA, he sold machinery & equipment all over the world during a time when many of the large European Industrial companies restructured their operations and a number of large Shipbuilding companies went out of business. He also bought entire packages of assets from defunct companies and reorganized companies into healthy organizations.
Robert got his start selling used machinery and organizing hundreds of sales for numerous well known public companies throughout Europe, who had closed production facilities. His many years of experience has given him great knowledge and understanding of asset values.
