Considered by many, including his peers, to be the standard bearer for knowledge, experience and ethics in retail inventory disposition, Mike Keefe led Hilco Merchant Resources from a start-up enterprise in 2000 to today’s world largest and most active provider of inventory monetization solutions.
Over the years, Mike and his team have managed thousands of store and distribution center closings, and store merchandising transformations. Clients include Montgomery Ward, Sears, Walgreens, Radio Shack, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Borders Book Stores, Disney, Albertson’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and Canada’s Hudson’s Bay Company.
In 2000, Mike joined Hilco Global as founder and CEO of Hilco Merchant Resources. Prior to joining, Mike was a senior executive with Gordon Brothers Group. In 2008, Mike was named President of Hilco Global, the holding company of Hilco Merchant Resources and other asset management businesses. Having spent his entire career in the asset disposition industry, Mike has been instrumental in developing, perfecting and executing many of today’s most innovative asset disposition best practices and tools.
A sought after thought leader on retail liquidations, Mike has spoken before numerous retailing association audiences, has authored articles on the liquidation process and has been interviewed by the press.
