People Operations Specialist

  • Workday Implementation Project Management
    • From November 2021 through July 2022, help with Workday testing and data extraction and verification and other duties as assigned to support the HR team in getting Workday up and running
  • Workday Support – On-going
    • Provide tier 1, 2 and 3 level support to all Hilco Global employees for all HR Workday processes once Workday is implemented June/July 2022 to include:
      • Tier 1:  Answering manager and employee questions on Workday functionality).  Provide help desk support for Workday HCM to all employees, including “how to use Workday”
      • Tier 2:  Support business transactions in process (examples include hiring, terminations, transfers, life events, performance management, etc. Answer questions and inquiries and provide guidance on managing HR processes transactions and steps in Workday
      • Tier 3:  Configuring Workday (provide subject matter expertise on all HR policies, programs and processes to partner with IT Workday support specialist to ensure Workday is configured accordingly.  Examples include parental leave, 401K match, etc.)
  • Partner with IT to support the Workday cloud applications. Lead as the business analyst in the design, configuration, and testing of enhancements to the application
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert of the policy, program, and processes for the People organization
  • Coordinate life cycle employee events including but not limited to: on-boarding, annual benefits open enrollment system setup, Life Events (marriage, adoption, birth of a child, etc.), candidate interview scheduling, Leave of Absence inquiries, and Wellness initiatives
  • Support Benefit vendor monthly invoicing and reconciliation. Troubleshoot any errors from weekly carrier file feeds to benefits providers
  • Work closely with Finance and Divisions support successful payroll processing



  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of two years profession experience supporting Workday HCM in hands on, help desk inquiries and resolution support
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility in working with ambiguous situations and problem solving
  • General HR knowledge
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office 360 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism - can interface with all levels of the organization as a primary point of contact for team
  • Ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work delivered to clients 
  • Highly organized, attention to detail and excellent follow-through required
  • Thinks multiple steps ahead; prepares for potential problems and escalates issues when appropriate and manages competing deadlines effectively 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to develop relationships with professionals across several business units and act as an effective liaison to meet client needs
