Project Manager – Environmental Remediation (Hilco Redevelopment Partners)

Job Description

Hilco Redevelopment Partners (HRP) is seeking an experienced environmental engineer or scientist to support HRP’s remediation and redevelopment work on properties in Philadelphia and the Eastern US more broadly.  This position is well-suited for an environmental consultant or contracting engineer experienced in soil and groundwater investigation and remediation, vapor intrusion assessment and mitigation, environmental due diligence, and the financial and technical evaluations necessary to implement these projects. Experience with projects located in Pennsylvania is preferred.  Our ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of experience in environmental consulting on these types of projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning and implement environmental field observation and testing programs
  • Planning and oversee the implementation of environmental remediation and construction programs
  • Manage financial and technical aspects of projects
  • Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements
  • Demonstrate very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be effective in scoping work for and managing the work of external environmental consultants
  • Work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary project teams, including real estate development professionals, construction professionals, general contractors, and external consultants
  • Perform various other duties as required



  • At least 5 years of experience in an environmental consulting or contracting environment
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects, meeting short deadlines, and traveling to sites, as needed
  • Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard software
  • Project experience, including field experience, involving site investigation, vapor intrusion assessments and mitigation, and remedial design, planning, and implementation
  • Experience with industrial and/or real estate development clients preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental investigations and clean up preferred
  • Demonstrate expertise in project planning, quality control, cost estimating, scheduling and implementation
