Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition


The Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition will help build TA functional excellence through developing and automating processes, designing policies and delivering system solutions that enable hiring managers to be more efficient in acquiring talent.  This role serves as the Recruiting Lead and reports directly to the Senior Director of Talent.  This person will be responsible for providing the necessary communication, training and guidance to meet the needs of the range of stakeholders across the Hilco enterprise. The Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition will play a key role in supporting HR’s mission to deliver global HR solutions through strategic partnerships and innovative practices that empower employees to drive business growth and impact while maintaining our entrepreneurial culture.  This role is responsible for finding and bringing on A+ caliber talent that will allow us to continue delivering business solutions that help us perpetuate and evolve our company culture.

This senior role will play an “air traffic control” role within our internal team.  In other words, the person will interface directly with leaders to understand demand and then adjust hiring strategy and tactics accordingly. The Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for sourcing candidates as well as managing third party recruiting firms for specific roles.   


  • Partner with Sr. Leadership to understand staffing needs and priorities to develop both short-term and long-term recruiting strategies ensuring that all staffing efforts meet the business objectives, as related to workforce planning.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Talent to evaluate capacity for centralized recruitment based on enterprise-wide needs/roles.
  • Manage all aspects of the search process for identified roles; from sourcing through candidate close and prompt on-boarding.
  • Collaborate with leaders in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies focused on rapid identification of external talent.
  • Support the implementation of the ATS software and create supporting processes.
  • Implement and maintain process improvements that will enhance the candidate and new hire experience.
  • Lead and implement small to large scale recruiting projects with high impact to the company.
  • Partner to develop/define the talent brand internally & externally.
  • Develop collateral material in partnership with marketing to effectively articulate the company culture and represent a positive reflection of our brand and company.
  • Partner to implement and maintain legally defensible and effective hiring processes for the firm.
  • Provide the HR department with market intelligence, best practices on interview, sourcing and selection methodologies.
  • Create and exceed expectations for all ‘leadership in the basics’ for recruiting role (i.e. Fill roles within established timelines, Hiring Manager and new Hire survey rate/responses, time to fill quality of hire etc. Adhere to quality standards surrounding recruiting processes such as ATS tracking/notes, reference check process, offer letter requests, etc.).
  • Track and communicate monthly recruiting metrics.
  • Diagnose gaps within processes and provide solutions/training (employee referrals, internal posting etc.).
  • Direct and oversee the hiring of select Sr. level roles/executives as indicated by Sr. Leaders.
  • Create and suggest new and effective interviewing procedures and techniques and train leaders in best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to fair employment laws and practices. Process and track applicant job submissions.
  • Help audit required tests needed for hire (proficiency, background, etc.).
  • Drive consistency in agency use and efficiency in terms and expense across the enterprise.
  • Analyze and provide market data to internal HR team to help benchmark compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs in line with the company’s compensation philosophy and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Develop a college relations program.


    Job Qualifications & Requirements

  • 10+ years of proven experience in talent acquisition / recruitment with preferred experience in thefinance industry
  • Experience with Workday strongly preferred
  • Exceptional work ethic; consistently meets/exceeds deadlines
  • Exemplary communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to develop and implement successful senior experienced hire recruiting programs with excellent strategic and creative thinking, project management and analytic skills
  • Proven expertise in developing strategic partnerships with senior management and influencing key hiring decisions, preferably in a fast-paced organizational environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage searches at both the strategic and tactical levels
  • Knowledge of our competitors at the base level - and knowledge of the market indicators which affect experienced hiring.
  • Ability to operate efficiently and effectively within a matrixed, geographically dispersed organization
  • Ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously and be willing to support recruiting initiatives (new systems, improving processes, etc.)
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and conditions and be able to look at new approaches to old problems
  • Ability to interact and interface with all levels within the company especially senior leadership
  • Superior candidate negotiation skills
  • Ability to work at a high-level of independence and autonomy, intellectual acumen, leadership, sound judgment, professional and personal integrity, initiative and flexibility
  • Remains flexible and operates with a collaborative mindset.



Minimum qualifications include a BA or BS degree.
