ReStore Capital is a credit focused investment manager providing creative financing solutions in the consumer, ecommerce, industrial, manufacturing and retail industries.  Our investment strategies include Direct lending and Opportunistic Credit, Distressed Debt and Special Situations, and Alternative Credit.  The companies we typically invest in are sustainable businesses in transition, those experiencing financial distress and companies with complex financial or operating structures.  We invest in both public and private companies through primary and secondary market transactions.  Restore Capital is a Hilco Global company.

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth company and industry research to develop and support detailed financial models and projections.

Evaluate capital structures and gather information on company asset categories.  Analyze asset values and, where appropriate, leverage other Hilco business units’ asset valuation expertise and knowledge to inform your analysis.

Conduct complete investment due diligence.  Work with legal counsel, management teams, sponsors, colleagues and other lenders where appropriate.  Structure deal documents, leveraging colleagues and external resources where appropriate.

Create and utilize investment and operating models, along with capital structure and asset value analysis, to identify the fulcrum debt/equity security and investment opportunities.

Create, build, and update reports/models for, make recommendations to, and collaborate with senior management.

Help monitor and manage existing investments and portfolio metrics.

Participate in the investment approval process.

Build on old and develop new relationships to source deals and acquire market intelligence.

Review supporting legal contracts to ensure the contract reflects the assumptions within the investment and operating models and to confirm that all corresponding exhibits are accurate.

Some overnight travel may be required.

Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.  MBA a plus.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years investment banking experience and/or 3-5 years of experience at a high yield, special situations or distressed credit investment manager in an investing role.  Must have experience in direct lending (diligence, structuring and documentation).  Experience in traded distressed credit a plus.

Strong understanding of credit markets and capital structure required.

Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills required.

Attention to detail required.

Ability to work efficiently and accurately under time constraints and meet aggressive deadlines required.

Ability to collaborate and work with others required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills required, as this position will have routine interaction with senior management.

Advanced Excel skills required; familiarity with Access a plus.

Familiarity with Capital IQ and Bloomberg a plus.

Reporting Relationship:   Directly report to Dan Rubin.

Work Hours and Conditions: In addition to a minimum of 40-60 hours per week, may occasionally be required to travel to conduct due diligence, attend meetings, and attend auctions
