Following over 15 years of private practice at top-ranked law firms, Ryan Lawlor initially joined Hilco Global as its Associate General Counsel, with a strong background in distressed asset sales, in-court and out-of-court restructurings and bankruptcy law. Ryan played an integral role in Hilco Real Estate's acquisition of critical real estate holdings and many of Hilco Global’s multi-asset acquisitions, including the investment of the former Sparrows Point Steel Mill in Baltimore, Maryland, now known as Tradepoint Atlantic. More recently, Ryan has focused his expertise on assisting numerous healthy and distressed clients in creating and executing successful strategies to maximize the value of their real estate assets. Ryan works closely with HRE’s national and multinational clients, leading engagements for lease repositioning, renewal, and disposition services and property brokerage and auction services. He has assisted clients such as Lowe’s, Kroger, Rite Aid, Chuck E. Cheese, Dollar Tree Family Dollar, and Starbucks, among others. In addition to an active role in running the business, Ryan is also a leader of HRE’s capital deployment initiatives, including note purchases and short-term bridge lending. Ryan received his Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University. He is a member of the ABI, TMA, ICSC and several other professional organizations.
