Hilco donated $1.8 Million of new winter coats to families in underserved communities in Philadelphia, Jersey City, Boston, and Chicago, concluding this week at Instituto del Progreso Latino in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood
International financial services firm Hilco Global, the world’s preeminent authority on asset valuation, monetization, and advisory services, today announced the completion of its “Hilco Helps Warm the Winter” coat giveaway campaign
by donating an additional 3,500 brand new winter coats to underserved residents in Jersey City, NJ and throughout the Little Village neighborhood in Chicago, IL.
The Hilco Global team coordinated their latest coat donation delivery in New Jersey with the state’s Pandemic Relief Fund, a philanthropic effort supported by First Lady Tammy Murphy and the Salvation Army. Additionally, in Chicago’s Little
Village Neighborhood, Hilco worked with the Community School called Instituto del Progreso Latino and held a drive-thru distribution program to give away hundreds of new winter coats to residents in need. The latest donation of 3,500 coats given out
this week completes a 3-month long philanthropic coat donation program that began in December of 2020 as part of its Hilco Helps ongoing philanthropy effort.
The Hilco Helps winter coat donation program leveraged Hilco Global’s unique expertise as a retail and wholesale inventory expert enabling the company to purchase new, high-end winter coats and accessories at a great value and donate coats to families
in underserved neighborhoods across the nation. In total, Hilco Global gave away more than 9,500 coats and thousands of winter apparel accessories in 4 cities, worth approximately $1,800,000 at retail.
