Kidville

Kidville is the one-stop-shop for families’ class, party and play needs for children ages 6 months to 6 years. The brand is a trusted destination for parents and caregivers to fill their children’s schedule and celebrate milestones along the way. In 2019, Kidville operated 5 company-owned locations and 17 franchised locations across the United States, Canada, and China.

In August 2020, Kidville filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy protection and appointed Salvatore LaMonica of LaMonica Herbst & Maniscalco, LLP as the chapter 7 trustee. The chapter 7 trustee hired Hilco Streambank to market the Kidville intellectual property assets.

Hilco Streambank developed marketing materials and a data room to market the assets for sale, including the Kidville trademarks, domain names, rights under franchise agreements, social media assets, and proprietary and website content. Hilco Streambank coordinated the execution of more than 25 non-disclosure agreements, resulting in 4 qualified bids for the intellectual property assets. We ran a virtual auction and, after 10 rounds of bidding, the chapter 7 trustee declared Tiger Liu, the owner of the Kidville China franchise business, as the successful bidder at a purchase price of $150,000.  The sale closed in January 2021.
